Ron Pry - Baritone
 

Singing baritone is Ron Pry from McKeesport, PA.  Ron has been singing since the age of three in church choirs, grade school choirs, high school choirs including accapella choir, high school musicals and the US Navy Blue Jacket Choir. In addition, before joining SCQ in 1989 he had a solo ministry and also was the music director for the Chapel at Mountain Pines Campground in Champion, PA.  In March of 1998, Ron and his wife Jan and their good friend Glenn Crawford formed Three Rivers Gospel and continued with that group until 2005. It has now come full circle with the return in 2007 to the fabulous Steel City Quartet.  Ron belongs to First Free Evangelical Church in McKeesport and is a member of the adult choir and the Senior Achievers.

 Ron married Jan in 1959 and they have 2 Sons, 1 Daughter, 3 Grandsons, and 1 Great Granddaughter. After Ron retired from his job as a millwright in 2005, the Prys have enjoyed traveling in their motor home. During the winter of 2007 they spent 4 months in Fruitland Park, FL. working at the United Methodist Conference/Retreat/Camp Center.   Ron and Jan also sing together as “Just Us” and enjoy doing concerts when the quartet isn’t working.
